Since 2005, Allianz Insurance has worked with Earthwatch to engage its employees in environmental issues by offering them the opportunity to be part of Earthwatch Expeditions and make a real difference to the environment. In 2012 the focus was switched to a one-day sustainability workshop, bringing together the science of climate change and its relevance to Allianz business activities and sustainability objectives. The outcome was increased participant commitment and confidence in speaking about and engaging in Allianz environmental activities and inspiring colleagues to do the same.
